French Wine Country Tour
Mark and I are flying out tomorrow morning to join an Insight Vacation tour in Paris that will take us through the French wine country. Instead of a five- or six-week trip to Europe as we have done over the last four years, this time we'll be gone only 16 days.
We'll be visiting appellation regions such as Troyes in the Champagne region, Burgundy, Chablis, Dijon, with stay overs in Chamonix, Avignon, Grenoble, the French Riviera, Nice, and Paris. For Mark in particular, this will be very interesting because he is an avid Tour de France fan and enjoys the broadcast every July showcasing the beautiful French landscape, historical sites, architecture, villages, mountains, and fields of gorgeous sunflowers. And, he knows that the wineries will ship to the States! La vie est belle!
The weather seems to be pretty cool and rainy over there right now, but we're ready for it with umbrellas, boots, and cameras. I hope to post interesting stories and photos to share with everyone as we proceed through this beautiful area.
Au revoir!
