Annecy

The town of Annecy is the heart of the Haute-Savoie Region of the French Alps that dates back to the time of the Romans. It is also referred to as "Little Venice" given the canals and influence of Italian architecture throughout the community. The very large lake Thiou runs through this touristy city that reminded Mark and me of Venice meets Carmel. So, when you are in a touristy city, you act like a tourist! Here are photos of the lake and Annecy:

After our afternoon in Annecy, we traveled to Grenoble, where we spent the night and then got up early the next morning to head to Nice!
